What information does Urban Biker collect and how does Urban Biker use it?

Urban Biker is a software application on your Android device that tracks and measures your outdoor activities by using GPS technology (or equivalent), or wireless sensors technology (Bluetooth LE or ANT+). The data acquired from the GPS or wireless sensors can be of personal and confidential nature. The application can store this data onto your device as files of industry-standard format, to a folder which might be readable by other apps. Like with all data you keep on your device, if it's not properly protected it can be abused by a third party. Urban Biker gives it's best to protect the data it handles, but it is ultimatively your responsibility to restrict unauthorized access to your device's storage and the data it holds.

Urban Biker will never send your personal and confidential information or data over the Internet. The only exception is when you willingly decide to share data with Google, Inc. (www.google.com/fit); Strava, Inc. (www.strava.com); or Velo Hero (www.velohero.com), in which case the connection and the data transferred are secured by the highest Internet security standards.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

• To fulfill the app's primary purpose
  The app can fulfill its primary purpose only by having access to the following private information: GPS location, and wireless sensors. You have full control over when and how the app will have access to this information.
• To improve our software
  We continually strive to improve our software based on the feedback we receive from our costumers.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order.

All supplied sensitive information is transmitted via the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information will not be stored on our servers.

Spyware and Adware

We oppose spyware and adware.
Spyware is software installed on your device without your consent or control. It can record and transmit your activity and other personal information or change your devices's security settings. Adware is spyware that sends you unwanted pop-ups or spam. Our products never use these unwanted and harmful technologies.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our app, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party products or services in our app. These third party services have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked services. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our app and welcome any feedback about these services.

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
