What information does Smooth Sail collect and how does Smooth Sail use it?

Smooth Sail is a software application on your Android device that strives to improve screen readability and alleviate motion sickness while on the go (on compatible apps). The data accessed during the process, using Android's AccessibilityService API, can be of personal and confidential nature (i.e. sensitive information). Smooth Sail never stores nor shares that data in any way.

Smooth Sail will never send your personal and confidential information or data over the Internet. The only exception is when you willingly decide to do so, e.g. to buy a product, in which case the connection and the data transferred are secured by the highest Internet security standards.

You have full control over when and how the app will have access to this information.

What do we use this information for?

Any of the sensitive information we access may be used to fulfill the app's primary purpose. The app can fulfill its primary purpose only by having access to the following sensitive information:

• Receive notifications when you're interacting with an app
  This is necessary for the application to know which application window is visible on the screen and if it is compatible.
• Inspect the content of a window that you're interacting with
  This is necessary so that the application can move the window of another compatible application, i.e. translate it by a given amount of pixels. The contents of the window are never accessed or examined in any way.

You have full control over when and how the app will have access to this information.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order.

All supplied sensitive information is transmitted via the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information will not be stored on our servers.

Spyware and Adware

We oppose spyware and adware.
Spyware is software installed on your device without your consent or control. It can record and transmit your activity and other personal information or change your devices's security settings. Adware is spyware that sends you unwanted pop-ups or spam. Our products never use these unwanted and harmful technologies.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our app, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.

We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked services. Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
